The Advantage Program courses are Hyles-Anderson College courses, and the credits are easily transferred to many other Christian colleges.

Old Testament Survey

Old Testament Survey, a three-credit course, is a foundational survey of the Old Testament.  The purpose, distinctives, characteristics, and broad outline of each book are presented to give a grasp of the entire Old Testament.

  • Old Testament Survey is taught by seven members of our Bible faculty:  Mark Bachman, Scott Gray, Bob Hooker, Stuart Mason, Danny Mendez, Ken Schaap,  and Chris Tefft.
  • The course consists of forty-five lessons covering the entire Old Testament.
  • Each lesson is approximately thirty minutes long.
  • Each lesson will be followed by a brief quiz.

 

New Testament Survey

New Testament Survey, a three-credit course, is a foundational survey of the New Testament.  The author, background, and purpose, as well as a broad outline of each book, are presented to give a grasp of the entire New Testament.

Acts of the Apostles

This course covers the book of Acts with its evangelism and church growth.

  • The course consists of thirty lessons covering the book of Acts.
  • Each lesson is approximately thirty minutes long.
  • Each lesson will be followed by a brief quiz.

 

Preparation for Leadership

This course takes the student through the basics of followship with a distinct Christian perspective. Emphasis is placed on having a Scriptural attitude in life and building from this a successful foundation for Christian service.

  • The course consists of fifteen lessons.
  • Each lesson is approximately thirty minutes long.
  • Each lesson will be followed by a brief quiz.

 

Personal Finance

This one-credit course will train students to handle financial matters. Included in this course are the basics for setting up a budget and for dealing with credit, insurance, and bank accounts. All of this is dealt with from a Christian perspective with a Biblical view of money and finances. The principles taught in this course will apply to students who will later work with church and school budgets.

  • The course consists of fifteen lessons.
  • Each lesson is approximately thirty minutes long.
  • Each lesson will be followed by a brief quiz.

 

Preparation for Leadership

This course is an emphasis on the man, methods, message, and means of evangelism. It is a careful study of the Spirit-filled life of the soul winner as well as the work of soul winning.

  • The course consists of thirty lessons.
  • Each lesson is approximately thirty minutes long.
  • Each lesson will be followed by a brief quiz.

Tuition for the Advantage Program is only $100 per credit hour, more than a 50% savings off the cost of our resident college student tuition.
